Maria began her HR career with Deloitte in the US where she served clients in the Global Mobility space for eight years. She specialised in International Human Resources and Global Mobility Transformation assisting clients with program and policy design, strategy development, service delivery, implementation of shared services hub structures, and global payroll management.
Her passion for Global Mobility took her on assignment to Germany where she joined Daimler in managing global assignments for the Americas Region and Australia. Following her assignment, Maria moved into a broader HR role at Daimler’s headquarters in Germany focusing on organisational design, lean management in HR and corporate HR strategy.
Joining her partner on assignment to Australia, Maria took a sabbatical and is currently “giving back” by volunteering at a non-profit organisation in Melbourne where she is leading the efforts to review, design and implement the end-to-end HR processes along the entire employment cycle.
Maria has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Wayne State University in the US and has studied abroad at the University of Munich. She holds a certification as a Global Professional in Human Resources from the US HR Certification Institute and is a member of the Australian HR Institute where she also serves as a mentor to junior HR professionals.
